The Olmsted County Fair is open to all and the Grandstand is closed for today.
The fair staff was planning on having a free event for families with bounce houses, kids activities and more at the temporary Grandstand location. Due to the heat, this event was canceled because the bounce houses would melt the plastic on the roof and cause skin irritation to those touching the hot plastic, which then led to confusion that the fair overall was being canceled. The fair with food and commercial vendors are in full swing to serve attendees today and the rest of the weekend. Please be advised to drink plenty of water to keep hydrated in this hot summer day. See you at the fair!
